Travelogues - Translucent Bathrooms

I love the chinki land .. yes i love em ... They are beautiful , people are good (dedhia .. lol) , the hotels are world class and food is never the problem for even hardcore vegetarians like me ... there are Indian restaurants .. to b more precise south Indian restaurants in every nook in these places ... shopping is cheap, so are the hotels, discs (free!!!) , food, clothes (i couldn't buy anything for myself ... the fattest chinki has a waist of 32 **abuses randomly**)

I have tonnes of pics and will tyre to upload them in my travelogues and rant about my weird and not so weird adventures in the chink land.

The first of em all - Translucent Bathrooms !

The basic question when i first saw them - To pee or not to ! :O *misses the smiley feature in blogspot*

The pics i have uploaded is from our hotel in Shenzen , China. Most of the bathrooms in china and hong kong were mysteriously translucent ! .....** why chinki why ??? **

Don't they have two single male/female travellers staying in one single room ???

My roomy for the whole trip was puneet .. my kickass sindhi counterpart in crimes !

He was kind of ok with the arrangement .. I was shocked when i first saw em ! I was depressed .. how ca anyone watching me taking bath .. worse on the loo *gosssh*

But we compromised the first day .. i got him out of the room when i barged into the place and vice versa .. Mornings ..i was up an hour early before him ... double checked that the guy in snoring ... finished my stuff in hurry, woke up the guy and before he enters me was out !

I hate those glasses, once the lights are on inside, we can see the shadow do everything :o!

As the time passed ... wqe got used to live with it. i had my first public "booty dance" inside recorded by venky/puneet's cam ... It became more of a fun thing than a scary thing ..

I still wonder why do they have such stuff in bathrooms .. are the chinks perverts ? :O

Day was pretty busy ... Dad's back in town after almost 10 days ! Afternoon was spent explaining him that i was not upto my usual pranks and managed the factory well in his absence .. he seemed quite convinced with what i had to offer ... Now that makes me wonder ...

1) Did i really grow up to manage this large organization

or

2) My acting skills just got better .. hola !

Either ways, i got much less time to ponder over, as work got better off me today !

Been reading the Inscruitable Americans by Anurag Sharma .. Nice timepass book .. Makes me feel pity about the desis in USA ... Although i have nothing against any country, i detest people leaving India to pursue their living across the globe ... what do we not have in this country ? The only thing that is bad according to the book is the dust and the dirt around ... These days even those seem to be dissapearing ... These guys for a few dollars more sell the soul, Motherland and whatnot ! Boooo !

I know i sound a lil bit anti-poor. But the last time i was in Germany, i saw more indian tourists in the posh restaurants ordering 3 course meals than the locals themselves. I guess as a nation we are growing richer by the day. By the time these bimbos realize that, They wuld have lost their better part of their youth and would be treated as aliens in their own land ... Yeah that reminds me of the old saying .... "Naa ghar ka na Ghaat ka"

Its the weekend again!

The tuesday was as usual lazy. Its been raining cats and dogs out here ... The weather is damp,dull and yeah cold ! :D ... My dad being in bangalore is an added advantage so that i can sleep uninterrupted till 11am ! ... (*Flashback* : Never woke up before 11am during my 4 years at college ! :P) Ah ! those were the days !

Watched Namesake last night ! totally bowled by it ... never expected it to be so good ! Was an amazing find from the 400 odd DVD'd that i have been sourcing everytime i come across a vendor. It was a mastepiece and Irrfan Khan, Tabu and Kal Penn impressed ...Suprised that it didnt go to any award functions and the likes of Krrish did !!!! Ah, I guess Money rules everywhere !

I was impressed with Kal Penn's acting in his earlier movie ... "Harold and Kumar go to White castle" It was funny erotic comedy .. lol. Nice timepass movie with some great babes around .. Somewhat similar to "Dude .. Where's my car" Ashton Klutcher seems so perfect in that !

Around noon, i settled in for Tenancious D ... Okkish movie ... It was actually a comedy .. but somewhere the script went wrong ... the performances were good and yeah .. some cool classic rock music ... !

Evening was whiled away by channel surfing .. Got quite engrossed with the lal Masid happenings in Pakistan ... Kinda serious stuff . I pity the government. I guess a operation bluestar v2.0 might start again and then they have some troubling times ahead ... And work well for India too .. with all the guys fighting themselves, the valley will be at peace for sometime ... Ideal for a vacation to ladakh i guess !

Late in the evening, my ingenuity got better of my laziness and me started workin on my blog again ... Should admit, this has been quite a satisfying weekend !

Its been almost 6 months and me still cocooned in my shell fearing the unknown ... I hate google adsense and worse .. I have forgotten my password .. Now i am not able to delete the crap :( ... Now Regardless of google tyrannies .. I have decided to take it Head on .... Yeah by writing censored posts full of codes that only my levelheaded (Bet on this ... Half of them don't have this word in their vocabulary) can decrypt ... And thus i begin me third innings . . . !

yeah guys ... its almost 6 months since i posted out here .. Actually a curiosity about google adsense made me a victim of the google searches .... So went underground sometime, Locked the permissions from public and cocooned myself. Now google is off me a** and I return ... or is The Bee-Man returns ! lol

The infatutation continues . . .

The latest infatuation is reading .. reading fiction ... I used to hate them until the hungry tide session , but this season, they seem to ruling it ! After the hungry tide , this ones is a really nice break .. a funny book .. this kinda flows with the speed of thinking ... simply because the author is a 21 yr old engg student from IIT Delhi ... so i guess the frequencies match somewhere.

For ye all .. this one is a nice company on a lazy Sunday afternoon ... it partnered me for the last two nights and am almost 50% through! At this rate i might finish it by sat evening and fresh supplies will be available only on Monday evening @ Bangalore ... OMG !!!

The Hungry Tide

Brilliant piece of work .. Have been going through bits and pieces of this book, initially bought to subside the boredom in the 14 hour flight to Beijing .. But then sleep got better of me and this went into the cabin baggage .. lost the book for the next couple of months before it resurfaced in mah FMB book dump .. Been reading it from Dec 30th .. at a pace of 10 pages a night ... never found time even thought it was totally engrossing and bewitching ...

Made up my mind to finish it today .. and so dedicated my whole holiday to it .. 400 pages ... totally magical content .. kept me glued (Maybe i am exaggerating a bit .. i had a short break .. short mathlab 3 hours .. watched another classical piece of art - Dor .. a good movie .. but lost interest in the end) ... and so it ended ..

Me read somewhere that a good book is something , that is kinda depressing to part with and leaves a tinge of hunger for more by the time it ends .. Well it had all this and lot more ..

Its a story about Kanai - a Delhi based businessman , Piya a researcher on dolphins, fokir a fisherman and some mystical villages in sunderbans .. makes me wanna go there for a holiday .. explore the stuff .. it sure looks a big magical world from the authors point of view .. Worth a read folks .. don't miss it !

And my status now ... its close to 1.30 am ... lost sleep .. a lil hungry ... i guess there's one last ferro rocher left in the fridge now (thank u paaji !) .. psst psst .. vigneshwar gave me two boxload of chocolates the last time i met him in mumbai .. they sure are yummy!

Lying on my bed, me was contemplating aboutthe marketing assignment around noon yesterday .. was replaying the murti class in mah mind .. when suddenly i remembered one of his sentences ... "You are in the information age ... nothing you do will be opaque enough ! ... its going to be very very transparent .. 5 years from now when u google your name you will find pile load of information for and against you ... you can do nothing about it ... be transparent in business ... else ... blah blah blah" .. eureka eureka ... me thought what does Google have for me on the web .


And hence i started googling ... started with "bharani" .. tonnes of entries .. next "bharanidharan" .. i got my name in the 2nd page in a batchmates.com site ... excited .. i went for the kill ... "BHARANIDHARAN PANDYAN" .. and eeeekkkss .. boy - o boy what did i see .... this blog spot site , stumbleupon and Bmsceeiaa stuff and yes .. batchmates.com ... then something stuck me ..... i froze ... was numb ... then like a really bad nightmare .. i was sweating ... mah dad googles a lot .. so do my employees .. and i would be right to imagine Prof.Murti would be too .. and that explained why he was giving me stares all through the last class .... he has gone through my crap ... and i remembered all i wrote abt people .. it was frightening ..


As a damage control, me made my blog private , wiped my orkut profile clean ... deleted traces from the net and trying to protect myself frm the "un"wanted publicity .... but then murti was right .. need to watch my steps henceforth ... but then, me was connected to the virtual world from my 5th standard .. i guess 1995 .. .so need to fish out lot of remains too ... have a lot to clean up in my recent posts too ... will keep ya guys updated ...

Had a cutout of this article for sometime in my wallet .. too lazy to jot it down ... but then finally managed to squeeze out sometime last night. So here it goes . . .

My Son gets Engaged !

Was late again to college .. got up at 8.30 after some crazy moments last nite .. uploaded most of the pics .. will try to upload some more soon .. rushed to college .. some really boring lectures followed bfore Murti took over .. the charisma and magnetism he personifies kinda mesmerizes me all day .. returned frm college late evening and proceeded to INORBIT .. some lil shopping , coffee and pizza later .. rolled all the way to hostel .. only to find some water party going on .. 20 guys splashing water madly for almost half an hour .. freshers to hostel life these guys have no clue of what is gonna reign on them tomorrow ! AMEN !

Event of the day : Madhav and me finally got ourselved bonded by a relation ! His daughter is gonna marry my son in 25 years .. Also he has agreed to gift me 20 acres in delhi as an dowry advance ! My son sure is a lucky guy .. he has 1000 more acres to look out for ;)

Also we mutually decided tht "Vee's" son would be a gay and "cruiser's" offspring would comfort him .. lol

Talking abt relationships ... four of my friends are getting grounded tis season ... Chintan , Arpan,Piyush and Vineet ... been wid them for shopping tis week ... they seem to be really excited abt the proceedings ... and yeah the blushings arnd is something to be enjoyed at .. some innocent fun in this really fast paced life kinda makes you wanna celebrate the purity of life ! ... wat say folks ?

Agony time .. firstly i picked up the wrong shirt ... my lovely tie didnt fit in aka my neck was too big for the collar :(

reached venue late .. did the last minute preps and went for the presentation .. it was ok .. went as per schedule .. but then l .. then lost interest midway ... the jury seemed impressed .. but the audience was missing :( .. the company finally listed at Rs113 per share ..

Lunch was good .. but the deserts seemed better ... so went for the deserts straight .. then skipped the remaining presentations and headed back to the hostel at 3.30 ... reached arnd 6.00 pm odds .. madhu took us on a ride .. he showed us his driving skills, his drag abilities , his talents in evadin the "pandus" .. abhi if ur reading this .. i was in the backseat ... it was venky and madhu al the way on ur car :D ...

the rest of the evening was lazed arnd in the hostel .. nothing to boast abt except the fact tht i a really really bored ..
