42 countries and over a 1000 flights wise....
I recently shared one of the social media forwards about an air france review http://jayharishshah.blogspot.in/. The blog soon went viral and i guess i played a small part in it ie, a significant amount of my friends shared and forwarded the same. Looking at the timid Air France reply i now firmly believe pen is mightier than the sword !
The best airlines to fy economy for long distances are as below

a) Cathay Pacific
b) Qatar
b) Emirates
d) Etihaad
e) Sri Lankan
f) Aero Mexico
g) Thai Airlines
h) Ethiopian
i) Kenyan
j) Singapore Airlines
k) Malaysian
If you fly any of the above you can be sure that incase of a layover, you shall be accommodated in a hotel and Indian passports do not create an hassle. Singapore and Malaysian airports do ensure that a stopover is not such a boring affair.
I guess nobody bothers to fly the multiple airlines in Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Russia. I do not of know anybody who has flown and is alive to help me for this review. :p
If your passport contains a valid long term US visa you can add the following airlines in the list but the comfort levels in the descending order
l) Air Nippon
m) Korean Air
n) Turkish Airlines
o) Egypt Air / Gulf Air / Oman Air
p) All the North / South American Airlines
If you have a valid UK / schengen visa
q) Lufthansa / Swiss / Austrian
r) SAS
s) KLM
t) Brussels
u) British Airways
v) Finn Air
w) South African
If your passport is blank with nothing more than the visa for your destination, please fly Air India. Its easier to nail these guys in India incase they screw up :))
As a personal advice never ever even attempt experimenting these airlines
x) Air France / Chinese Airlines
y) Aeroflot / Pakistan International Airlines / El Israel
z) Saudia
Well with Air France you had a large reasonably clean, non stinking airport airport at CDG with people who respond atleast to social media for the fear of EU consumer courts. With Saudia ... I rest my case.
My ratings if taken seriously would help some souls escape the hassles of international travel.
With Business/ First class, you can be rest assured to be pampered everywhere other than Saudia and saudi airports.
